Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking an experienced Production Line Mechanic for overnight shifts in Illinois. You will troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical issues on high-speed packaging and processing lines, perform preventive maintenance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Role requires ability to work in hot conditions, lift up to 50 pounds, and be available for weekends. 401(k), health, dental, vision, and PTO are provided.

Qualifications

• Two years of production line mechanic/technician experience preferred.
• Packaging/can making equipment experience is a plus.
• Understanding of automation principles and controls logic is a plus.
• Ability to use maintenance shop equipment is a plus.
• Must stand for long periods and work in hot conditions; crawl under lines and climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems on high-speed production line equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems on packaging/processing equipment.
• Complete routine preventative maintenance safely and timely.
• Support food safety, quality, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Lead in requesting replacement parts or design/fabrication as needed.
• Lead coordination with internal resources for issue resolution and improvements.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
