Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in Sugar Grove, IL is seeking a Production Line Mechanic to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems on high-speed packaging lines.

You will perform preventive maintenance, assist with part design requests, and participate in safety and continuous improvement programs. Night shifts are 7pm-7am, weekends required, with overtime after 40 hours.

Qualifications

• Two years of production line mechanic or technician experience preferred.
• Packaging or can-making equipment experience is a plus.
• Understanding of automation principles and controls logic is a plus.
• Ability to stand for long periods, work in hot conditions, and crawl under lines.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Flexible schedule and possible weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems on high-speed production line equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems on packaging/processing equipment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance safely and cost-effectively.
• Lead consultations with internal resources to resolve issues and improve equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and support food safety and quality initiatives.
