Job summary

Care Initiatives is seeking an LPN to join our team as a Charge Nurse - LPN in Iowa. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive nursing care and leading the unit to ensure high-quality resident outcomes.

You will perform assessments, administer medications, supervise aides, and ensure regulatory compliance. The position emphasizes compassionate care, teamwork, and adherence to facility policies.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid LPN license in good standing and be eligible to practice in Iowa.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Completion of State-approved LPN Supervisory Course or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing assessments of residents' clinical status, vital signs, and changes to support individualized care planning.
• Provide and oversee direct nursing care, including wound care, IV therapy (as allowed), catheter care, and other skilled interventions.
• Administer medications safely, monitor responses, and document accurately and timely.
• Serve as unit clinical lead, coordinating resident care and communicating with physicians, leadership, residents, and families.
