Job summary

Sysco is a global leader in foodservice distribution, seeking experienced tractor-trailer drivers for long-haul routes. You will transport products from the warehouse to customer locations across PA, FL, OH and other states, often staying out 2–3 days per trip and adhering to safety, DOT, and food-safety standards.

Operate a 3-axle tractor with 45'–48' trailer, complete accurate logs, load and unload when required, and build strong relationships with customers while representing Sysco

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, plus 1 year tractor-trailer driving experience preferred.
• Completion of a tractor-trailer driving school will be accepted instead of, or in addition to a high school diploma.
• Valid Class A CDL required; must be insurable to operate a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports product from the warehouse to the customer location and ensures on-time delivery per route; loads/unloads as required.
• Completes all paperwork per DOT logs, inspections, and company guidelines; ensures invoices and case counts match.
• Maintains required food safety protocols and proper temperatures during transport.
• Follows management directions and communicates any deviations to route, trailer, or customer issues.
• Operates equipment safely (tractor, trailer, onboard computer) and uses PPE as needed.
• Develops good customer relationships and provides courteous service with clear communication.
• Works assigned schedule, including overtime or non-standard hours to meet customer needs.
