Job summary

Sysco is seeking a long-haul TRUCK DRIVER to safely transport products from the warehouse to customer locations, often traveling 2–3 days at a time across PA, FL, OH and other states. This role requires a valid Class A CDL, ability to meet DOT requirements, and a focus on safety and customer service.

The position involves overnight scheduling, weekend work, and adherence to delivery timelines, with eligibility for the company incentive plan.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; 1 year tractor-trailer driving experience preferred.
Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Must be insurable to operate a vehicle as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Safely transports product from the warehouse to the customer location and ensures timely delivery on assigned route.
Completes all required paperwork (DOT logs, inspections, maintenance reports) accurately and on time.
Maintains proper food safety protocols and temperatures in the delivery vehicle.
Adheres to company safety policies and immediately reports unsafe conditions to management.
Operates equipment including pallets and trailers, using proper handling techniques.
Builds good customer relationships through courteous service and clear communication.
Communicates route, loading or customer issues to management; adapts to schedule changes.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
