Job summary

Major Food Group is seeking experienced Line Cooks to uphold the highest standards of cuisine and professionalism in a fast-paced kitchen in Dallas. The role requires preparing ingredients, setting up stations, and cooking menu items in collaboration with fellow cooks.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in a high-volume environment and hold a culinary diploma (or equivalent experience). We value teamwork, a positive attitude, and strong communication to deliver quality meals on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (vegetables, meat, sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the kitchen staff
• Follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
• Clean up station and manage leftovers
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure food is plated and served with high quality and timeliness

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in high volume and fine dining restaurants preferred but not required
• Culinary diploma or equivalent in experience strongly preferred
• Team-orientated and positive attitude
• Strong communication skills a must
