Job summary

Pace is hiring a Lab Technician I to join the sample preparation department in our Mansfield, MA environmental testing laboratory. This on-site, night-shift position (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Monday–Friday) offers comprehensive training and growth in laboratory sciences.

You will support sample-related activities, maintain documentation, and participate in training on lab policies and practices. A related science degree is preferred, with high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred in chemistry, biology, environmental science or other related sciences.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to perform work in a lab or office setting, stand for long periods while conducting tests and wear PPE (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves).
• Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support all laboratory sample-related activities, including preservation, preparation, processing and maintenance.
• Maintain and update appropriate documentation and databases.
• Participate in training on fundamental lab support policies, programs, and practices.

What you'll do

• Maintain and update appropriate documentation and databases
• Participate in training on fundamental lab support policies, programs, and practices

What you'll bring

• Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred in chemistry, biology, environmental science or other related sciences preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to perform work in a lab or office setting, remain standing for long periods while conducting tests, work around strong smells, and wear personal protective equipment while handling samples (e.g., lab coat, safety glasses and gloves; all PPE provided by Pace®).
• Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting is preferred, but not required
