Quad Sussex is seeking a Cook for the night shift to perform advanced food preparation, cooking, and service while upholding quality and safety standards. You will coordinate production activities and support café operations, delivering meals accurately and efficiently.

The role emphasizes training teammates, maintaining inventory, and adhering to company procedures, food safety regulations, and customer service excellence. This is a full‑time, on‑site opportunity at Quad Café.

Qualifications

• 8+ years hands-on food service experience.
• Strong cooking and culinary skills.
• Experience training or mentoring team members.
• ServSafe Manager Certification preferred and valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve hot and cold food items per recipes and standards.
• Own assigned production areas and ensure timely, accurate prep and service.
• Coordinate workflow during busy periods and support the team.
• Provide guidance and training to team members and new hires.
• Monitor quality, presentation, portion control, and safety logs.
• Manage inventory, receive deliveries, rotate stock, and use FIFO.
• Identify shortages or issues and communicate promptly.
• Support cost-control by minimizing waste and maximizing use.
• Keep workstations clean, organized, and inspection-ready.
• Execute menu plans and coordinate with stakeholders for service delivery.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve routine concerns.
• Suggest process improvements to boost efficiency, quality, and experience.
• Serve as a dependable resource to maintain workflow and standards.
