MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC is seeking an Overnight Pharmacy Technician II to work a 7 On 7 Off schedule under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. Responsibilities include preparing and filling routine orders for prescribed medications, restocking automated dispensing machines, repackaging medications, and non-sterile compounding.

Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, completion of a approved Pharmacy Technician training program (preferred),

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Completion of an approved Pharmacy Technician training program preferred.
Current enrollment in a college of pharmacy program preferred.
One year of relevant education may substitute for one year of required work experience.
6-12 months related pharmacy technician experience preferred.
6 months hospital environment experience preferred.
PHRMTECH-R registration required on hire.
National Pharmacy Technician license required on hire.
RPI - Reg Pharmacy Intern Registered Pharmacy Student Intern preferred.

Responsabilités

Safely and accurately prepares all medications in readied form using proper techniques and calculations.
Selects and procures medications based on departmental criteria and standards.
Stores controlled substances securely and accounts for all medications.
Transports medications to patient care units and maintains designated delivery locations.
