Job summary

Progress West Hospital in Missouri is seeking a Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient 2 to join the bedside team under the supervision of a staff pharmacist.

You will prepare medication orders, assist in dispensing and transporting medications, and perform sterile and non-sterile compounding using automated systems, with emphasis on patient care and regulatory compliance.

Open to certified technicians; 7 on 7 off overnight shifts (9 PM–7 AM) with strong teamwork and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Certified pharmacy technician required.
• Experience in inpatient hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains quality assurance standards and required documentation; maintains regulatory cleanliness compliance.
• Assists in the preparation of medication orders, to include workflow management, basic preparation & dispensing, and non-sterile compounding.
• Uses automated/electronic systems to manage product preparation, inventory, patient records, and regulatory compliance.
• Supports various inventory activities, to include inventory storage, ordering, rotating, beyond use dating, and cleanliness.
• Pursues proficiency in compounding sterile preparations and/or other advanced skills.
