Northwestern Medicine in Lake Forest, IL, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support inpatient and unit-dose medication workflows. Responsibilities include identifying and filling meds, preparing sterile products, labeling, and delivering to nursing units, with 10-hour overnight shifts and 7 days on/7 days off.

Licensed technicians must obtain CPhT certification within 6 months of hire if licensed after 2008.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Pharmacy Technician License (IDFPR) is required.
• CPhT certification through PTCB or NHA required within 6 months of hire if licensed after 2008.
• One year or less related work experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Identifies and fills medications, surgical kits, carts, and required items.
• Prepares sterile compounds and IV admixtures including hazardous meds.
• Fills and labels medications per a computer-generated profile.
• Delivers medications to nursing units and maintains dispensing cabinets.
• Maintains inventory, rotates stock, and logs all preparations.
