Job summary

IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN is seeking a full-time Overnight Pharmacist to join our compassionate team. The 7-on/7-off schedule runs Wednesday–Tuesday, 9pm–7am, delivering value-based medication care to improve patient outcomes.

The role collaborates with physicians, nurses and other care teams to ensure safe medication use, oversee pharmacist extenders, and maintain medication security and patient confidentiality. A PharmD or BS in Pharmacy and Indiana licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or BS in Pharmacy prior to 2006.
• ASHP PGY1 or PGY2 residency may be required.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience.
• Indiana Pharmacist license or eligibility.
• Board certification or specialized training may be required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required.
• Travel to IU Health facilities may be required.
• Weekend rotations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medication-related care to improve patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safe medication use.
• Ensure safety and effectiveness of medication use process.
• Dispense medications per orders and maintain patient confidentiality.
