Job summary

The role partners with physicians and clinical staff, requires Indiana licensure, and tallies with a track record in retail and leadership; travel to Muncie and Indianapolis is anticipated before May 2027 when on-site duties expand.

Qualifications

• Requires Indiana license or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a Pharmacist.
• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy completed before 2006.
• 5–7 years pharmacist experience required.
• Knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to dispensing of drugs.
• Management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and coordinate daily operations of the hospital pharmacy and staff.
• Collaborates with physicians and health care professionals to improve drug therapy outcomes.
• Assists pharmacy director with activities involving the pharmacy and therapeutics committee.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations.
• Implements new processes and leading quality improvement initiatives.
• Manages inventory and financial performance of the pharmacy.
• Frequent travel to Muncie and Indianapolis; travel may increase as the hospital opens.
