Job summary

Indiana University Health System seeks an Evening Shift Pharmacist to ensure safe medication use, verify orders in the EHR, and support the care team. You will work with pharmacists and nurses to optimize patient outcomes and maintain medication security and confidentiality.

The role administers 1pm-9:30pm or 2pm-10:30pm shifts, collaborates with healthcare professionals, and may involve travel to IU Health facilities and weekend rotations as needed.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy completed prior to 2006.
• ASHP-accredited PGY1 or PGY2 residency may be required.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience.
• Current Indiana Pharmacist license or eligibility for Indiana licensure.
• Board certification or other specialized training may be required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required.
• May require travel to IU Health facilities.
• May require weekend rotations.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders via Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Utilize medication-order tech to fulfill orders (Box Picker - SwissLog, Pyxis, DoseEdge, IntelliGuard).
• Field drug information calls from nurses and providers.
• Oversee technician workflow and direct as appropriate.
