Job summary

UVA Health is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for inpatient acute care, serving as the overnight primary pharmacist in a Level I Trauma Center. You will provide real-time pharmacotherapy expertise and bedside support to a multidisciplinary team.

The role offers broad exposure across adult patients, with opportunities for growth, autonomy, and collaboration within a premier academic medical center. Expect a 7 on/7 off schedule and relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Pharm.D or B.S. in Pharmacy from ACPE-accredited college.
• Licensure in Virginia or eligibility within 60 days of hire; AHA BLS required.
• Residency or PGY-1 clinical experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead hospital-wide medication order verification in Epic.
• Respond to codes and bedside emergencies with pharmacotherapeutic expertise.
• Provide real-time clinical consultation to nursing and providers.
• Serve as sole primary clinical pharmacist overnight with high-acuity cases.
