UVA Health in Charlottesville seeks an overnight Clinical Pharmacist in Inpatient Acute Care Services to function as the primary clinical pharmacy resource for the hospital, delivering expert pharmacotherapy and real-time consultation while supporting a multidisciplinary team.

You will lead hospital-wide medication order verification in Epic, respond to codes and emergencies at the bedside, and balance urgent interventions with ongoing patient care.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. required.
PGY-1 residency required or equivalent hospital experience; PGY-2 residency preferred for specialty areas.
Virginia State Board of Pharmacy license required; AHA Health Care Provider and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

Lead hospital-wide medication order verification in Epic.
Respond to codes and bedside emergencies with pharmacotherapeutic expertise.
Provide real-time clinical consultation to nursing staff and providers across specialties.
Serve as sole overnight primary clinical pharmacist with high-acuity cases.
