Job summary

UVA Health is seeking a daytime Clinical Pharmacist in Inpatient Acute Care Services and the overnight central clinical pharmacist in a Level I Trauma Center. You will practice at the top of your license and work with a multidisciplinary team to inform critical decisions and patient care.

This role offers broad exposure across adult populations, robust autonomy with strong departmental support, and a 7 on 7 off schedule that supports work-life balance and time off.

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. or Bachelor’s in Pharmacy from ACPE‑accredited program.
• Virginia Pharmacist license or license within 60 days of hire.
• AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead hospital-wide medication order verification in Epic to ensure safety across inpatient units.
• Respond to codes and bedside emergencies with pharmacotherapeutic expertise.
• Provide real-time clinical consultation to nursing staff and providers across specialties.
• Serve as the sole primary clinical pharmacist overnight, managing high-acuity cases.
