Job summary

Target is hiring an Inbound Expert in Hillsboro, OR to support General Merchandise operations and guest service on the sales floor. You will sort, stock, and organize merchandise, operate handheld scanners, and assist guests with a welcoming attitude.

Across busy shifts you will ensure product availability, follow safety policies, and help with back-up cashier tasks and drive-up orders. This role rewards teamwork, flexibility, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
• Attention to detail and follow a multi-step processes.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Execute a detailed, accurate and efficient sorting operation.
• Stock, organize and store reserve product and straighten merchandise on sales floor.
• Maintain product availability on the salesfloor for GM categories.
• Operate powered equipment as necessary while unloading freight or moving merchandise.
• Process defective merchandise and handle environmentally sensitive (ESIM) items in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive up (DU) and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks.
• When guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way, to help solve their specific needs.
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
