Job summary

GF Hotels & Resorts in Portland seeks an attentive houseperson to help ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining clean public areas and supporting housekeeping with guest-room deliveries of amenities and bedding.

The role requires a detail-oriented approach to cleaning hallways, meeting rooms, lobbies, and other spaces, with strong customer service, organizational, and time-management skills. Prior housekeeping exposure is preferred and reliability is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduated high school, GED or equivalent.
• Proven customer service experience with a guest-focused mentality.
• 1 year experience as a houseperson or housekeeper strongly desired.
• Good understanding of cleaning techniques and products.
• Strong work ethic with organizational, time management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest rooms, hallways, furnishings, flooring, lobby, and other work areas.
• Ensure the highest level of customer service by anticipating and responding quickly to visitors' requests.
• Make deliveries to guest rooms for guest-requested items such as amenities, rollaway beds, cribs, bedding, and linens.
• Walk all assigned floors at beginning of the shift and collect trash, soiled linen, and other items per management requests.
• Retrieve clean linens from housekeeping storage facilities and distribute them to each floor.

Do you have previous experience in the hospitality industry and a strong desire to provide excellent customer service to our guests? You could be just what we're looking for in our next houseperson. Our hotel is extremely busy, and we need a detail-oriented individual who is willing to perform a wide range of tasks to ensure that our guests have an exceptional experience. Responsibilities include keeping hotel public areas clean, such as hallways, meeting rooms, and lobbies.

You will also support housekeeping by delivering items requested by guests, such as amenities, rollaway beds, cribs, and bedding, to guest rooms, and completing any special projects assigned by housekeeping managers. You should have at least one year of experience as a housekeeper or houseperson.

Compensation

$18.50 hourly
