Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a House Attendant to support our housekeeping team on assigned floors. You will assist with linen delivery, trash removal, and cleaning of corridors, closets, and public areas, ensuring a clean, safe environment for guests.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and the flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays across our Portland properties. Join a team dedicated to Sonesta Service standards.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Experience in extended-stay properties preferred.
• Fluent English (reading/writing) preferred; additional languages a plus.
• Basic reading, writing and math abilities required.
• Physical stamina to stand, bend, climb and move about the facility.
• Ability to lift/push items up to 75 pounds.
• Willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Familiarity with using commercial cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Assist Room Attendants with linens, supplies, and strong items.
• Deliver linens to Room Attendants and collect dirty linen for laundry.
• Clean and organize floor closets and corridors; remove trash and sanitize areas.
• Respond to guest requests promptly and courteously.
• Clean public restrooms, storage rooms, and other public spaces.
• Report needed repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Support with deep cleaning projects and laundry operations.
• Operate washers/dryers per hotel standards and guidelines.
