Job summary

Jericho Project seeks a House Manager for its Fordham Village (Bronx) location. The role is overnight, Wednesday through Sunday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, reporting to the Superintendent/Property Manager.

Compensation is $36,400 annually, non-exempt, with duties spanning safety, case coordination support, clerical tasks, and light maintenance within a housing-first program. The position requires 1 year of customer service, Fire Guard certification within the first year, basic computer skills, and

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service experience required.
• Fire Guard Certification required (must obtain within first year).
• Basic computer skills knowledge required.
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
• Experience working with individuals with substance abuse history.
• Experience working with individuals who have experienced homelessness.

Responsibilities

• Secure and maintain safety of tenants and the facility.
• Provide crisis intervention when necessary.
• Report and electronically document all incidents on site.
• Assist with filing, rent collection, time & leave calendars and timesheet collection.
• Monitor and verify client safety by conducting room checks.
• Monitor client/visitor activity and maintain security.
• Maintain compliance with fire safety codes.
• Assist tenants to meet lease terms and timely rent payments.
• Conduct floor checks at the start of each shift.
• Attend house meetings, case conferences, and staff meetings.
• Perform light porter duties such as sweeping, cleaning windows, mopping.
• Other duties as assigned.
