Overnight Guest Service Agent (Night Auditor)

Overview

The Night Auditor is responsible for guest registration, check-out, PBX operations, mail and message services, while providing outstanding guest service. You will act as a hotel advocate, create personal guest experiences, and foster guest loyalty.

Responsibilities

• Review arrivals, noting special requests and blocking rooms as needed.
• Check in and out guests confidently and professionally.
• Answer phone calls promptly and knowledgeably.
• Complete daily checklists (AM, PM, Overnight).
• Pre-assign rooms, including VIPs and special requests.
• Follow key control and credit policies.
• Handle lost & found items with reports.
• Be familiar with fire and emergency procedures.
• Balance the shift bank, verifying transactions.
• Monitor room availability and review yield management system daily.
• Attend monthly department meetings.
• Communicate with other departments via phone or radio.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in front desk or customer service roles is helpful.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of local area, services, and attractions.
• Flexible schedule including overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work under pressure with multiple arrivals and departures.
