Job summary

SMI Security is seeking a professional, dependable Front Desk Security Officer for a high-rise residential building in Miami. The role requires delivering excellent customer service to residents, guests, and vendors while maintaining a professional front-desk presence.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM. Pay rate is $17.50 per hour. The ideal candidate can work independently overnight, manage packages, and adhere to building security procedures in a bilingual English/Spanish environment.

Qualifications

• Previous front desk or residential security experience preferred.
• Experience with computer software and electronic systems.
• Experience handling packages and maintaining package logs preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
• Must meet all applicable Florida security licensing and employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional security presence at the front desk.
• Monitor and control access to the property according to procedures.
• Greet and assist residents, guests, vendors, and visitors professionally.
• Verify visitors and manage access per protocols.
• Receive, document, organize, and secure packages per building procedures.
• Enter package and other information into computer systems.
• Use computer software and electronic systems for daily front-desk tasks.
• Maintain logs, reports, and documentation during shifts.
• Monitor building activity and report unusual or emergency situations.
• Communicate with property management and SMI Security management when needed.
• Work independently with attention to detail and follow post orders.
• Maintain professional appearance and customer-service standards.
• Perform other security and front-desk duties as assigned.
