Job summary

The Langham Chicago is seeking an Overnight Guest Service Agent to manage the front desk during the night shift. You will greet guests, handle registrations, verify payments, and support the Night Manager with administrative tasks. The role requires independent work and strong attention to detail in a fast-paced hotel setting.

Experience in hospitality is preferred, and a high school diploma is desirable. This position is part-time/on-call/temporary with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Prior hospitality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly welcome and provide information on outlets and local attractions.
• Complete the registration process, verify guest details, and code electronic keys.
• Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization; handle cash and balance house accounts.
• Answer calls promptly in clear English and relay messages to guests.
• Close guest accounts at checkout and address guest satisfaction, negotiating where necessary.
• Stay calm during emergencies and resolve issues such as room changes or billing problems.
