Job summary

The Langham Hospitality Group, The Langham, Chicago, is seeking an Overnight Guest Service Agent to manage the front desk during night hours. You will greet guests, manage check-ins/outs, process payments, and support the Night Manager with administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations and security through the night.

This role requires attention to detail, independent work, and a strong focus on guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Prior hospitality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome, using a positive and clear speaking voice.
• Complete the registration process, input and retrieve information from computer systems, confirm guests and room details.
• Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization and handle cash, vouchers, and other payments.
• Promptly answer the telephone and relay messages, assist with guest requests and communicate effectively.
• Close guest accounts at checkout and resolve dissatisfaction, including revenue allowances when needed.
• Remain calm during emergencies and resolve issues such as location changes or credit problems.
• Field guest complaints, researching to develop effective solutions and negotiating outcomes.
