Job summary

Ontario Trillium Foundation is seeking a Night Auditor to oversee overnight front desk operations from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

The role focuses on registering guests, making reservations, and preparing daily reports while balancing transactions and performing security walks. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year in a hotel setting, a high school diploma, basic accounting knowledge, and the ability to work independently under pressure.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• College coursework in related field helpful.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of Basic Accounting Principles.
• Must be able to problem solve and troubleshoot guest issues.
• Must be proficient in Windows operating systems, spreadsheets, and word processing.
• Must convey information clearly and work under pressure.
• Must handle problems in the workplace and adapt to emergencies.
• Must assimilate complex information from disparate sources.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, service-oriented interactions with guests and associates.
• Maintain attendance per hotel standards and adapt to overnight schedule.
• Uphold high standards of appearance and grooming per brand standards.
• Follow hotel standards to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Maintain a warm, friendly demeanor at all times.
• Complete End of Day processes and Night Audit checklists daily.
• Balance the day’s transactions and related reports.
• Maintain cashiering responsibilities and Front Office systems.
• Perform Night Audit duties between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
• Conduct security checks of building and corridors.
• Address guest requests during overnight shift and respond to emergencies.
• Follow safety procedures and document activities per hotel standards.
• Keep logs and records accurately.
• Maintain knowledge of security procedures and help fellow associates.
• Distribute Night Audit reports to management.
• Train new Night Auditors as requested.
• Assist with morning reports and Lost and Found processes.
• Attend meetings and perform other duties as assigned by management.
