Job summary

Triton Regional School District Pine Grove Elementary in Rowley, MA is seeking an Overnight Field Trip Nurse to support health needs during overnight trips. You will work under the School Principal, review student health records and plans, and coordinate with families and staff to ensure medications and emergency plans are in place.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with a current Massachusetts license.
• Must obtain temporary MA licensure or authorization to practice in ME for the trip duration.
• Experience with school-aged children in a school nursing or pediatric setting preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Ability to respond independently to medical situations overnight.

Responsibilities

• Review health records, medications, and health plans before departure.
• Coordinate with staff and families to ensure medications and emergency plans are available.
• Administer medications and provide nursing services per laws and policies.
• Assess illnesses, injuries, and emergencies during the trip.
• Communicate with staff, families, and EMS as needed.
• Document medication administration and nursing care during the trip.
• Be on-call overnight to respond to medical needs.
• Coordinate with organizers for continuity of care and supervision.
• Maintain student confidentiality and adhere to nursing standards and district policies.
• Perform other nursing duties to support student health and safety.
