Job summary

VEG ER for Pets in Florida is seeking a part-time Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team. You’ll work alongside doctors to triage, treat emergencies, and deliver gold-standard, emotionally intelligent care for pets and families.

You should be CVT/RVT/LVMT in the state with 1+ years of veterinary tech experience, strong communication, and ability to handle fast-paced shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in veterinary technology is preferred but not required.
• Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state where the VEG practice is located.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with practice management software/EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support in emergencies from triage to discharge.
• Assist with diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Handle medications, IVs, CRIs, blood products, and monitoring.
• Communicate effectively with team members and pet parents to keep care flowing.
• Engage in CPR and advanced techniques as part of emergency care when needed.
