Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring experienced Veterinary Technicians for its busy Emergency and Critical Care department in an overnight schedule. The role offers hourly pay from $20.00 to $40.50 plus shift differentials based on timing.

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will induce and monitor anesthesia, triage cases, perform radiography, manage vital signs, and support the care team. We value mentoring and client empathy in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary technician in Emergency/ICU.
• Ability to work overnight shifts.
• Certification in veterinary nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia using proper equipment.
• Triage and monitor emergency patients with vitals.
• Perform digital radiography with correct patient positioning.
• Assess and interpret vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes.
• Perform phlebotomy and place IV catheters.
• Calculate medical dosages and administer medications.
• Place feeding tubes and central lines as needed.
• Mentor and train other staff; provide client support with empathy.
