BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring experienced Overnight Veterinary Technicians to work in our busy Emergency and Critical Care department. Schedule: 7am-7pm; Pay: $23.20-$43.70/hour.

Competitive shift differentials apply for Weekday Night, Weekend Day, and Weekend Night shifts. As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will induce, monitor and recover anesthesia, triage emergencies, perform digital radiography, monitor vital signs, obtain and interpret vitals, and alert Veterinarians to changes.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients and use anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases and obtain vitals such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate and blood pressure.
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique and positioning.
• Interpret vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes and issues.
• Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vitals; administer medications as directed.
• Phlebotomy and placing intravenous catheters in peripheral vessels.
• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
