Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring experienced Veterinary Technicians for our busy Emergency and Critical Care department. This on-site role offers a pay range of $20.00–$40.00 per hour, dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system.

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will induce, monitor and recover anesthesia, triage emergencies, perform radiography, and assist with critical patient care while mentoring teammates in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Experienced veterinary technicians in emergency/ICU.
• Comfort with anesthesia induction, monitoring and recovery.
• Proficient in triage, vitals assessment and CPR.
• Skilled with phlebotomy, IV placement and venous access.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-focused setting.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia with monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergencies and record vitals (temp, HR, RR, BP).
• Perform digital radiography with proper patient positioning.
• Identify at-risk patients and alert veterinarian to changes.
• Place and maintain IV catheters and central lines when needed.
• Mentor and train colleagues while delivering compassionate care.
