Job summary

Venture Community Services in Webster, MA is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting. You will empower residents to participate actively in daily life and community activities.

Responsibilities include assisting with household tasks, meals, shopping, personal care, and accompanying individuals to appointments, outings, and activities, while following Behavior Support Plans and Individual Support

Commitment to assisting people with varying disabilities to participate fully in their community and in their own lives.
Varied interests and personal connections in the local community.
Proven record of conscientious, responsible behavior (work, volunteer or school history).
Ability to work as a creative, engaged, dedicated member of the team.

Responsibilities

Advocate and support adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Assist with household maintenance, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing.
Accompany to medical appointments and community activities.
Follow Behavior Support Plans and Individual Support Plans.
Administer medications per guidelines.
Follow medical guidelines and ensure safety.
