Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Supervisor in Kentucky to lead a warehouse team in achieving productivity, accuracy, and on‑time deliveries.

You will manage staffing, training, and operational procedures while ensuring safety and cost efficiency across the distribution center. The role requires 2 years of warehouse distribution experience, strong leadership, and proficiency with Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Have 2 years distribution warehouse experience, preferably in the grocery industry.
• Experience leading warehouse staff with hiring, training, motivating and resolving employee relations issues.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Direct and motivate teammates.
• Communicate company and division information to teammates.
• Listen, address and follow-up to teammate concerns, questions and problems.
• Facilitate communication within the warehouse leadership team and between division/warehouse leadership and teammates.
• Understand DC goals and standards, implement department procedures to meet those standards, and promote them to and gain buy-in and positive results from teammates.
• Ensure department and warehouse procedures cut unnecessary costs and improve morale.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment following standards.
• Supervise daily work of department teammates.
• Create and maintain schedules and job assignments.
• Maintain departmental paperwork.
• Provide training to maintain an efficient workforce.
• Provide coaching and corrective action as needed.
• Enforce all Distribution Center policies and safety.
• Be a visible advocate for safety.
• Relieve other supervisors during vacations.
• Maintain compliance with work and safety rules.
• Operate required equipment within 30 days after hire.
