Job summary

McLane is seeking a Distribution Supervisor to lead a warehouse team, ensure productivity and accuracy, and maintain safe, compliant operations. You will manage staffing, training, and scheduling, while driving continuous improvement in processes across the distribution center.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in large teams, and proficiency with MS Word/Excel. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, with day-one benefits and opportunities for development within a nationwide logistics

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2 years distribution warehouse experience, preferably in the grocery industry.
• Experience leading large numbers of warehouse staff with hiring, training, motivating and resolving employee relations issues.
• Computer knowledge to include Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Direct and motivate teammates.
• Communicate company and division information to teammates.
• Address teammate concerns and follow up to problems.
• Coordinate communication within the warehouse leadership team and with teammates.
• Meet DC goals; implement procedures to meet standards for productivity, quality, safety and sanitation.
• Ensure procedures cut unnecessary costs and improve morale and efficiency.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment following standards.
• Create and maintain schedules and job assignments; maintain paperwork.
• Provide training and coaching to teammates.
• EnforceDistribution Center policies and provide corrective action as needed.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and be a safety advocate.
• Relieve other supervisors during vacations.
