Job summary

IMPACT, Inc. (formerly MARC Community Resources) is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join the 3rd shift Awake team in Connecticut.

The role focuses on health, well-being, and development of individuals served, with emphasis on implementing Positive Behavior Support Plans and ISP goals. You will collaborate with staff to promote inclusion, social and emotional growth, maintain agency policies, and participate in comprehensive training to ensure high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CT Driver's License and reliable vehicle with current CT registration and insurance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Have or be able to obtain CPR/First Aid, PMT, and DDS Medication Administration Certification.
• Essential physical skills to run, squat, stoop/bend, kneel, climb stairs, lift at least 50 pounds, push/pull against resistance, and implement non-physical and physical intervention and CPR when needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow agency policies and participate in goals and plans promoting inclusion and social/emotional growth.
• Support health, well-being, and development of individuals we serve; work with staff to provide care.
• Create, implement, and update Positive Behavior Support Plans and ISP goals.
• Support IMPACT mission, vision, and guiding principles.

Associate or bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field (preferred)
