Job summary

IMPACT, Inc. (formerly MARC Community Resources) is hiring a Direct Support Professional (FT) in Connecticut.

The DSP will promote inclusion and social-emotional growth, oversee health and development of individuals, and work with staff to deliver high-quality care. Responsibilities include creating and updating Positive Behavior Support Plans and ISP goals, and supporting the organization’s mission and guiding principles.

Qualifications

• Must have valid CT Driver's License with reliable vehicle, CT registration and insurance.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Have or be able to obtain CPR/First Aid, PMT, and DDS Medication Administration Certification.
• Essential physical skills: run, squat, stoop/bend, kneel, climb stairs, lift at least 50 pounds, push/pull, and intervene as needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow agency policies and promote inclusion and growth for the individuals we support.
• Actively participate in creation, implementation, and updating of Positive Behavior Support Plans and ISP goals.
• Support the IMPACT mission, vision, and guiding principles.
• Collaborate with other staff to provide the best possible care for individuals served.
