Job summary

Department for Persons with Disabilities (DPD) is hiring Direct Support Professionals for overnight shifts in New Jersey. Roles include assisting residents with daily living, medication support, and community activities within group homes.

Flexible full-time, part-time, and substitute positions are available, with paid training and comprehensive benefits. Hours vary, including overnight Sunday through Monday, with competitive hourly wages and agency-paid benefits.

Qualifications

• Be motivated to work as part of a team that acts in the best interest of our residents at all times.
• Experience with ID/DD population is a plus.
• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• A valid (non-provisional) driver’s license is required.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of CPR/First Aid and emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Help meet the personal health, safety and welfare of residents in the group home.
• Assist/supervise in personal care, bathing, toileting, cleaning, cooking and life skills.
• Administer and/or assist with medication administration.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers and residents.
• Drive residents to/from day programs and community activities.
• Daily documentation of services provided.
• Assist with community-based activities.
