Job summary

Center for Developmental Disabilities, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional for overnight shifts (Friday–Monday, 11pm–9am). Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Complete AMAP and SCIP certification as per policy.
• Able to stand and bend throughout the day; able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid NYS Driver's License is required.

• Ensure that all individuals receive consistent support at their site.
• Advocate for the individuals they support.
• Participate in trainings to better understand and support those they work with.
• Work as part of a site team to achieve mutual goals.

Job description

We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a sign-on bonus of $1,000. This position is eligible for rate differentials, with total hourly compensation starting at $20/hour and reaching up to $24/hour (depending on role & shift). Schedules: Friday - Monday 11pm - 9am (Overnight)

Job Responsibilities

• It is the responsibility of the DSP to ensure that all individuals at their site receive support that is consistent.
• It is the responsibility of the DSP to advocate for those they support.
• It is the responsibility of the DSP to participate in trainings that will help them better understand and support those they work with.
• It is the responsibility of the DSP to work as part of a team at their site(s) to ensure the best support for individuals and to achieve mutual goals.

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Complete and maintain AMAP and SCIP certification, as per CDD policy.
• Able to stand and bend throughout the day.
• Able to sit for an extended period of time.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Valid NYS Driver's License.
