Job summary

The Center for Developmental Disabilities in East Meadow, NY is seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide consistent, person-centered support for individuals with differing abilities. This full-time role offers weekend hours Saturday and Sunday 7am–3pm and a base pay of $20.00–$21.50/hour with a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include advocating for those supported, participating in trainings, and collaborating with a team to meet mutual goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• AMAP and SCIP certifications required by policy.
• Must be able to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs; valid NYS Driver's License.

This position is eligible for rate differentials, with total hourly compensation starting at $20.00/hour and reaching up to $21.50/hour (depending on role & shift).

Job Qualifications:

• Complete and maintain AMAP and SCIP certification, as per CDD policy.
• Able to stand and bend throughout the day.
• Able to sit for an extended period of time.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License.
