Job summary

The Center for Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in New York. The role focuses on providing consistent support to individuals, advocating for their needs, and collaborating with a team to achieve mutual goals.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED, AMAP/SCIP certifications, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a NYS driver’s license. Competitive benefits and sign-on included.

• It is the responsibility of the DSP to advocate for those they support.
• It is the responsibility of the DSP to participate in trainings that will help them better understand and support those they work with.
• It is the responsibility of the DSP to work as part of a team at their site(s) to ensure the best support for individuals and to achieve mutual goals.

• Base Pay $20.00 - $21.50 / Hour

Description

We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a sign-on bonus of $1,000.

This position is eligible for rate differentials, with total hourly compensation starting at $20.00/hour and reaching up to $22.25/hour (depending on role & shift).

Schedule: Sunday 7am - 3pm & Monday - Thursday 3pm - 11pm

Job Qualifications:

• Complete and maintain AMAP and SCIP certification, as per CDD policy.
• Able to stand and bend throughout the day.
• Able to sit for an extended period of time.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License.
