Job summary

The Center for Developmental Disabilities, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in New York to provide supportive services to individuals with differing abilities.

You will work as part of a team to implement plans, advocate and assist with daily activities. Starting wage is $20/hour with potential to reach $24/hour, plus a $1,000 sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package including PTO, holidays, retirement plan and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Complete and maintain AMAP and SCIP certification, as per CDD policy.

Responsibilities

• It is the responsibility of the DSP to ensure that all individuals at their site receive support that is consistent.
• It is the responsibility of the DSP to advocate for those they support.
• It is the responsibility of the DSP to participate in trainings that will help them better understand and support those they work with.
• It is the responsibility of the DSP to work as part of a team at their site(s) to ensure the best support for individuals and to achieve mutual goals.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a sign-on bonus of $1,000.This position is eligible for rate differentials, with total hourly compensation starting at $20/hour and reaching up to $24/hour (depending on role & shift).Looking for purpose in what you do? Schedule

• Saturday 7pm
• 7am, Sunday 11pm
• 10am, Wednesday 11pm
• 10am & Friday 11pm
• 7am (Overnight)

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Complete and maintain AMAP and SCIP certification, as per CDD policy.
• Able to stand and bend throughout the day.
• Able to sit for an extended period of time.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Valid NYS Drivers License;
