Job summary

Center for Developmental Disabilities, Inc. is hiring a Direct Support Professional in Jericho, NY. The DSP provides consistent support to individuals with differing abilities, advocates for their needs, and participates in ongoing trainings.

The role requires teamwork across site locations to achieve shared goals, with a Thursday–Saturday shift schedule and a comprehensive benefits package. Compensation starts at $20.00 per hour and can reach $21.50 per hour depending on role and shift, plus

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Complete and maintain AMAP and SCIP certification, as per CDD policy.
• Able to stand and bend throughout the day.
• Able to sit for an extended period of time.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Valid NYS Driver's License.

• Ensure that all individuals at their site receive consistent support.
• Advocate for those they support.
• Participate in trainings to better understand and support those they work with.
• Collaborate as part of a team at their site(s) to achieve mutual goals.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a sign-on bonus of $1,000. This position is eligible for rate differentials, with total hourly compensation starting at $20.00/hour and reaching up to $21.50/hour (depending on role & shift).
