Job summary

LAZ Parking is seeking a Garage Attendant/Maintenance Specialist to keep garages and surface lots clean, serviced, and safe on a nightly schedule. You will interact with customers, resolve issues, and coordinate with teams to maintain efficiency and safety.

The role requires basic maintenance skills, a willingness to work evenings (Thu-Sun, 7:00pm–3:30am), and a customer-focused approach. Paid training and uniform are provided, with on-site parking benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Experience with general facility maintenance.
• Experience in customer relations.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate maintenance vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean garages and surface lots daily.
• Perform general maintenance: sweeping, wiping surfaces, trash, light bulbs, painting.
• Assist with snow removal and winter upkeep.
• Operate garage floor sweeper and scrubber as needed.
• Complete maintenance checklist daily.
• Provide vehicle assistance to customers in garages and surface lots.
• Assist customers via intercom, in lobbies, lanes and parking office.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Spirit of the Position

The Garage Attendant/ Maintenance Specialist is responsible for all janitorial responsibilities for garages and surface lots ensuring they are maintained and cleaned on a daily basis. Interface with customers, handle disputes, provide effective communication between departments, co-workers, customers and clients.

Principal Job Duties

• Ensure garages and surface lots aremaintained and cleaned on a daily basis.
• Responsible for general maintenance of thegarage and surface lots- sweeping, wiping down surfaces and equipment, emptying trash, picking up trash, changing light bulbs, painting etc.
• Assist with snow removal and management of winter upkeep (managing sidewalks and garages).
• May need to operate garage/floor sweeper and scrubber to ensure floors are clean and safe.
• Responsible for ensuring all daily duties on maintenance checklist are completed efficiently and timely.
• Provide vehicle assistance to customers in garages and surface lots.
• Assist customersas neededover intercom system, in lobbies, lanes, and in the parking office.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Experience

• Experience with general facility maintenance required.
• Experience in customer relations.
• May need a valid driver's license and be able to operate Maintenance vehicles.
