Job summary

LAZ Parking in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Maintenance Garage Attendant to keep garages and surface lots clean and well‑maintained. You will perform janitorial tasks daily and support basic garage maintenance while communicating professionally with customers.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate maintenance vehicles. Shifts vary; this is a full‑time, on‑site role with benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate maintenance vehicles.
• Experience with general facility maintenance.
• Experience in customer relations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain garages and surface lots daily and keep them clean.
• General maintenance: sweeping, wiping surfaces, trash, bulbs, painting.
• Assist with snow removal and winter upkeep.
• Operate garage/floor sweeper and scrubber as needed.
• Complete daily maintenance checklists efficiently.
• Greet customers by name and resolve issues promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Spirit Of The Position

The Maintenance Garage Attendant is responsible for all janitorial responsibilities for garages and surface lots ensuring they are maintained and cleaned on a daily basis. Great communication between departments, co-workers, customers and clients.

Principal Job Duties

• Ensure garages and surface lots are maintained and cleaned on a daily basis.
• Responsible for general maintenance of the garage and surface lots – sweeping, wiping down surfaces and equipment, emptying trash, picking up trash, changing light bulbs, painting etc.
• Assist with snow removal and management of winter upkeep (managing sidewalks and garages).
• May need to operate garage/floor sweeper and scrubber to ensure floors are clean and safe.
• Responsible for ensuring all daily duties on maintenance checklist are completed efficiently and timely.
• Greet customers using name, be responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution, and display a caring attitude, develop a rapport with the customer base.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Experience

• Valid driver’s license and be able to operate Maintenance vehicles.
• Experience with general facility maintenance required.
• Experience in customer relations.

Skills

• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
