Job summary

Resort Lifestyle Communities is seeking an Overnight Concierge/Custodial at Village Crossing Retirement Community in Louisville, KY. The role focuses on safety, cleanliness, and attentive service overnight, ensuring residents and guests have a peaceful and secure environment.

You’ll handle housekeeping, basic admin tasks, and respond to emergencies while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere and professional demeanor for residents and visitors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years old with valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must be able to work Thursday-Monday, 11:00pm–7:30am.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous customer service experience and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain exceptional cleanliness throughout the community, including common areas and amenity spaces.
• Respond calmly to emergencies and coordinate with responders as needed.
• Monitor building systems (fire alarms) and follow safety protocols during events.
• Process room-service requests, sell meal tickets, distribute menus, and schedule transportation.
• Greet residents, families, and guests; answer calls professionally and offer courteous valet services.
• Assist with event setup and provide alcohol service during gatherings.

About the Role

As the Overnight Concierge/Custodial, you’llkeep our community secure and running smoothly overnight.You’llstay alert, tackle tasks to keep the community spotless, and respond quickly to any situation, including emergencies. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain exceptional cleanlinessthroughout the community. This includes vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, operating the floor scrubber, maintaining the indoor pond, refreshing restrooms and the bistro, sanitizing high‑touch surfaces, rolling silverware, emptying waste baskets, dusting, replenishing ice, cleaning the coffee and ice cream machines, caring for the salad bar, and ensuring all shared spaces and furnishings are tidy, stocked, andready for the day ahead.
• Respond calmly and quickly to emergencies,monitorresident call systems, and coordinate with emergency responders as needed.
• Support community safety by monitoring building systems(including fire alarms), following emergency protocols, and guiding residents during fires or severe weather events.
• Assistwith administrative supportbytaking room‑service requests, selling meal tickets, distributing menus, completing porch drops, scheduling transportation, andmaintainingorganized records.
• Support community operationsby walking the community, proactivelynoticingand reporting concerns,assistingwith event setup, and providing responsible alcohol service during gatherings.
• Create memorable first impressionsbygreeting residents, families, and guests, answering calls with professionalism,anticipatingneeds before they arise, andoffering courteous valet services to residents and visitors.
• Welcome new residentsby introducing yourself whenever youseethem.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record; able to valet park vehicles safely.
• Able to work Thursday-Monday 11:00pm to 7:30am while staying present and alert for the entire shift.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous customer service experience, professional appearance, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Adaptable and flexible to shifting priorities; willing to assist in various areas.
• Team-oriented with a proactive approach and attention to detail; reliable in completing tasks accurately and on time.
• Knowledge of the local community, preferred.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with residents, guests, and staff.
• Must meet local alcohol service requirements and obtain food handler permits within two weeks of hire.
