Job summary

TAIT is seeking a CNC Mill Machinist in Lititz, PA to set up and operate milling equipment, interpreting blueprints and traveling documents to produce precise parts. The candidate will work primarily on assigned CNC machines with guidance from senior machinists and programmers.

Role requires ability to adapt to different shifts, including weekends, for training and onboarding. Physical demands include standing for long periods and lifting 20–50 lbs as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school graduate, or 1–3 years of practical milling experience.
• Experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is a plus.
• Effective oral and written communication skills; able to handle changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up products on milling machines with department support.
• Operate milling machines per programmer instructions and higher-level machinists.
• Read blueprints/diagrams and job travelers for direction.
• Load and unload milling tools in a timely fashion.
• Allocate 80%+ hours to contracted jobs each shift.
• Identify, locate, and assemble required tooling for production.
• Create and edit CNC offsets for fixtures and tooling.
• Perform tool breakage detection and assess wear symptoms.
• Deliver finished parts to designated areas.
• Complete production sequences per CNC lists to meet goals and schedules.
• Conduct quality control by inspecting materials, products, and equipment.
• Adhere to safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Capture labor hours and material usage in Epicor.
• Work within schedules, production goals, and budgets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
