Job summary

GSC Wholesale LLC is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate a team of drivers, primarily Class A CDL holders, on an overnight shift with flexible days. The role emphasizes safety, clear communication, and timely problem resolution to keep the supply chain moving smoothly.

You will manage dispatch, update systems, and interact with internal and external stakeholders. A High School Diploma and dispatch experience are preferred, with bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• Driver Engagement required for coordinating drivers and loads.
• High School Diploma - General Studies is required.
• Planning & Execution skills to schedule and re-balance assignments.
• Transportation Communication to relay instructions and updates.
• Transportation Safety knowledge and adherence to regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review routing and scheduling plan for the shift to ensure all assignments are covered.
• Dispatch routes and relay information to drivers and ensure they have what they need.
• Develop coverage plans if loads are uncovered and communicate plans accordingly.
• Communicate daily transportation operations through appropriate channels and update customer portals as needed.
• Engage with drivers and site leadership to maintain a safe, productive work environment.
• Update the dispatch system with accurate information and complete debriefs after driver trips.
• Answer phones professionally and escalate issues when needed.
• Perform daily safety observations and ensure DOT Hours of Service compliance.
