Job summary

WATERFRONT RESCUE MISSION seeks a Weekend Monitor/Support Staff to assist with daily campus operations, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and adherence to policies. The role supports ministry staff in teaching, counseling, and preaching by handling operational tasks and client supervision.

Under supervision of the Operations Manager, Program Manager, or Assignee, responsibilities include rounds, de-escalation, event support, transportation coordination, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Christian commitment to ethics, honesty and character.
• 1–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent education/experience for a Weekend Monitor or Support Staff.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license and be insurable by WRM’s insurance carrier.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular campus rounding every hour to ensure safety, cleanliness and policy compliance.
• Approach loitering individuals professionally and guide them to appropriate locations.
• Respond to disturbances and non-compliance; apply non-violent de-escalation techniques.
• Assist with event setup, directions, and support staff to ensure campus safety.
• Monitor campus cleanliness by collecting litter and reducing waste.
• Coordinate client appointments and transportation to appointments.
• Observe and report client needs and problems to Chaplains.
• Facilitate clothing closet, facility supplies, and inventories.
