Job summary

The PLACE Launchpad seeks a Weekend Daytime Safety Staff to help maintain a secure, supportive environment for youth during weekend daytime hours. Under the supervision of the Director of Housing, you will monitor residents, enforce rules, respond to emergencies, and document incidents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to walk, climb stairs, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Strong judgment, clear communication, attention to detail, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Must pass both federal and state background checks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor youth during weekend day shifts to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Enforce The PLACE Launchpad rules and guidelines in a fair and consistent manner.
• Address any immediate needs or concerns of residents.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the facility.
• Uphold confidentiality and privacy standards in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Conduct hourly scheduled and random foot patrols of the Launchpad facility areas, including the lobby, stairwells, parking, and exterior grounds.
• Respond immediately to alarms (intrusion, fire, panic) and investigate noise complaints, resident disturbances, or property damage.
• Maintain accurate shift logs, incident reports, and safety logs with precise times and details.
• Escalate incidents to emergency services when necessary and follow established emergency procedures.
• Inspect for signs of theft, damage, tampering; enforce site policies and safety protocols.
• Conduct hourly safety inspections, report hazards, and ensure compliance with security and sefety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
