Job summary

Vinfen is hiring Awake Overnight Counselors in Massachusetts to provide direct support to people with brain injuries or behavioral conditions in group homes or living arrangements. You will work with the people we serve, their families, and the staff to build independence skills and improve quality of life.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, administering MAP medications, assisting with activities of daily living, and performing nightly duties such as cleaning and reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required. A bachelor’s degree in a Human Services related field is preferred.
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities, behavioral conditions and/or brain injury strongly preferred.
• All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid US driver’s license for at least 6 months.
• MAP, CPR and First Aid certifications needed within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Assists in implementing treatment programs, including ISP/PSTPs and clinical programs.
• Maintains records for persons served and documents incidents, programs, and activities.
• Provides training and support with ADLs, showering, hygiene, dressing, and chores.
• Monitors needs and reports changes to supervisor.
• Administers and documents medication per MAP requirements.
• Participates in trainings and staff meetings; assists with orientation of new staff.
